fitworking Friday 2.

Updated: Sep 11

Welcome to another fitworking Friday, and hopefully a sunny weekend ahead.

It’s been another busy week with the trials. Unfortunately, session 2, featuring Padel didn’t quite happen, but there was plenty of learning around organisation for me. I did get to recce the impressive site at North Leach, and am sure we’ll be back and having a go before long.

Session 3 saw us back at the Windrush School, and a smaller group allowed for some quality discussion. While thoughts of cucumber sandwiches and favourite coffee shops were never too far away, it was humbling to be part of the life experiences being shared. We then enjoyed (I’m sure that’s right) some yoga with Bev - our typical runner tightness keeping her amused while her variety of accessories kept us attentive. I’ve attached Bev’s teaching schedule for those keen to explore further, and highly recommend even if you couldn’t make it yesterday.

Pilot session 4 and 5 follow in quick succession next week. We’ll meet on Monday at 6pm in Stanton Harcourt for a walk and talk led by Rebecca, our favourite resident philosopher / author / barefoot runner. There are a couple of spaces available at the moment and I’ll confirm location and other details via Spond. On Wednesday at 7pm we’ll conclude the pilots with Katie helping to steer us through the wellbeing journey, and fingers crossed, some outdoor pilates. I’m really looking forward to both!

No doubt I’ll then be very politely asking for your feedback and ideas on whatever direction fitworking should take next ...

Enjoy your weekend ❇️
