Hi all - seeing as it’s Friday, just a quick fitworking update …
On Monday we held our first pilot session - 10 of us intrigued and intrepid wondering what we were doing as we discussed local coffee shops, the meaning of philosophy, and the merits of Aunt Sally as a potential Olympic sport.
After a few minutes considering focusing on performance floors rather than ceilings, we were ready for a walk. And, with a rainbow greeting us, a steep slope challenging us, directions confusing us ok, me - after a couple of miles it was time up.
The feedback has been really positive and massively appreciated, with definitely some further bits to consider and build in. Thank you.
Next week, there’s padel in North Leach (Tuesday 12), and yoga with Bev on Thursday at 8am. Bev is a fantastic yoga teacher and it’ll be suitable for all levels of ability and experience (to include me). In both, we’ll build on the first session, and there’ll hopefully be less of me and more of you in understanding why you’re here and what you want to get out of it.
No doubt we’ll be comparing sandwich preferences and favourite cities too!
There are free spaces available for both - please sign up via Spond.
I’m really looking forward to the following week too: on Monday 28th (6pm) Rebecca will lead a philosophy-based outdoors and active session. I’m still pondering on the best location for that - so please shout if you have any suggestions or sparkling ideas.
On Wednesday 30th (7pm), Katie will not only deliver the best pilates class, but through talking about her own journey, also help us to think about ours … what has brought us here? Fingers crossed that can be outdoors too. There are just a few places left on those two.
And in a whizz - that’ll be the five pilot sessions done - some exploring of why we’re here, hopefully a new activity or two, some fresh discussion, with more connection along the way.
Enjoy the weekend.
